200 Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Certification

The first YTTC of its kind. 1 Month, 200 hours, Traditional Hatha Yoga, Waterfront Accommodation.

Rishi Yoga and Wellness, LLC is a fully licensed and insured Yoga Alliance Registered 200hr Yoga School approved to conduct and provide 200hr Yoga Teacher Certifications. They are located in the town of White Stone in the Northern Neck region of Virginia.

This YTTC is an opportunity to learn to teach Hatha Yoga from its source. Ashlay Chawla, your head instructor & ERYT-500 was born, raised, and trained in Traditional Yoga in Rishikesh, India. He is fluent in English, Hindi, & Sanskrit. He is joined by his wife, Emily, and together they have 10+ years of teaching experience and 4 years of Yoga business ownership experience.

To learn from this duo is a truly unique experience as Emily adds a level of communication, application, and experience to Ashlay's authentic teachings. While the focus of your study will be Hatha Yoga, you will have the opportunity to glimpse their other areas of expertise such as Reiki Healing, Meditation, Yoga Therapy, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Aerial, & Yin Yoga Styles, Ayurvedic Treatment, and learn from their experiences of building a business from the ground up, hosting retreats, and growing in love together with Devotion.

Your program will consist of 8 hours of daily practice, study, & evaluations for a minimum of 24 days. Practice will take place at the Top Yoga School in the Northern Neck, the Rishi Yoga & Wellness Yoga School, a fully equipped & high-standard Registered Yoga School & Wellness facility. 

Housing will be Waterfront and provided based on participation. Here is an example of the accommodation we can secure: a large, fully furnished and stocked Waterfront rental home in a quiet, peaceful, and private location just 10 minutes from your training facility. The home features shared bedrooms and restrooms with full to queen size beds for each participant, multiple sitting and dining areas, a large kitchen, an office, sunroom, basement gameroom, laundry, patio, a dock and watersport equipment, with a large yard and panoramic water views. Located close to shopping, eating, and enjoying all the Northern Neck has to offer. Take a look at our partner, Harmonized Getaways, they will likely be our host.

Your YTTC program will include practical and philosophical lessons in applying and teaching all aspects of Hatha Yoga safely and effectively. Topics of study will include physical practices of asana, pranayama, shatkaram, mudra, and bandha, as well as Yoga philosophy and study of the Yoga Sutras and Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Mantra Chanting, Yoga Therapy, Meditation, developing your personal Sadhana, Yoga Culture, the meaning of Devotion, designing classes, and an in-depth look at what it means to choose Yoga as a profession. You will have ample opportunities to experience teaching real classes as you are invited to guest teach on the Rishi Yoga & Wellness studio schedule. Your program will be enriched with sacred ceremonies such as a Havan, Holy Dip, Temple visit, and guest lectures from the Indian Gurus behind Rishi Yoga & Wellness teachings.

You will leave this YTTC experience with the tools and confidence to start your teaching journey, a lifetime, internationally-recognized Yoga Teacher Certification, & a lifelong connection and relationship with Rishi Yoga & Wellness.
